Top Five Saturday Laughs :: 7.28.12

**It is Sunday night and I just realized that I never posted this from yesterday, if someone locates my brain, please send it back to it's proper owner**

It doesn't feel like Saturday to me today since I worked this morning!  However, I am loving the absolutely gorgeous weather that followed the much needed rain yesterday.

I had a hard time choosing my laughs this week, my kids were in good moods and very silly!  Here's to hoping for many more weeks of the same.

5.  One morning I actually had to wake Claire up.  When she woke up she was shaking her arm since it had fallen asleep.  She was looking at it strangely and told me that her hand was wrinkly.

4.  Natalie has become obsessed with wearing Claire's winter boots.  She would wear them all day and everywhere we went if I would let her.  However, nothing is sillier than a diapered baby in boots much too big.

3.  Before I went to work the other day, the girls and I played some board games.  When Miss Grace arrived, I was quickly replaced in HighHo Cherry-O.  Each color of 'cherries' has a character associated with it.  When Claire looked at the actual cherries, she realized that the character was a dog.  She then asked Grace, "How's a dog supposed to carry cherries?!"

2.  Claire has claimed Ryan's old iPhone 3 as her phone.  She has some games, books and movies that we have loaded on for her.  She decided to text Grandma.  When we told her that Grandma doesn't text, she told us that it was okay because she was the one texting not Grandma.  I don't think she understands the true concept of texting yet.

1.  Yesterday was  big day in our house.  Natalie asked (signed) to go potty.  She loves to sit on the potty, so this was nothing new.  However, she went #1 twice!!  After the second victory, I told Natalie to run out to the kitchen to tell Daddy what she had done.  She ran to the kitchen to cheers from both Ryan and Claire.  She got so excited that she pottied all over the floor.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!  Head on over to The Mommyhood Chronicles to read lots of other laughs!

Top Five Saturday Laughs :: July 21, 2012

I have been a mega blog slacker these past few weeks.  I wish I could find the time to blog more often, but I can't seem to fit it in my schedule :(  I am glad to be able to write our Saturday Laughs this week!  I should have titled it, Top Five July Laughs since I haven't posted yet in the month of July!!

5.  We had taken the girls to a couple of Fourth of July parades.  Since that weekend, they march through the house with their instrument of choice making their own parade.  Sometimes, Ryan and I join in and the girls get a huge kick out of the family parade.

4.  My nephew has recently started solids.  Claire is obsessed with helping feed him.  My sister was feeding him pureed squash when Claire offered to get him some bread.  When my sister told her that Tyler didn't eat bread yet, Claire said he was pointing at it and really wanted some. The rest of the day, whenever Tyler got upset we figured it was because he couldn't have any bread :)

3.  Natalie is a little climbing monster.  She will climb up on her little chair, then over the back onto the couch, then across the couch to the end and over the arm of the couch to the floor.  She does this many, many times a day and is proud of herself every time.  I can't say that I love the furniture climbing!

2. Claire had croup a couple of weeks ago.  She would cough so violently that she would actually vomit.  We kept a bucket by her bed just in case.  One day, Ryan went to check on her after her nap and she told him that she went potty.  He checked the bed and it was dry, but then saw that the bucket was full.  She had gone potty in the bucket!!

1.  We were hanging out in our room one night.  Ryan let an extremely vile toot that filled the room.  Claire announced that she smelled something stinky and proceeded to go into the closet and pick up Ryan's shorts that he had recently changed out of.  She examined them very closely, while stating, "Daddy, I think you pooped in your underwear!"

I'm glad to be joining Melissa at The Mommyhood Chronicles and her Saturday Laughs blog hop!!
